Just to keep life from being too hum drum, other experiences that I had with this week's Microsoft Windows updates was with the following two:
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 SP1 x86 (KB2604115)
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 SP1 x86 (KB2656411)
Again, two different experiences.
With my home PC (Windows 7 Professional), the install of "KB2604115" failed initially when collectively installed with all the others. After a restart and subsequent download and install, it updated successfully.
With my laptop (Windows 7 Home Premium), the initial install of both "KB2604115" and "KB2656411" failed with the collective update installation. In this case, the PC was restarted twice in sequence to download and install "KB2656411" followed by "KB2604115".
Unlike other updates, where the easiest remedial action seems to be to go to Microsoft's update site, this was just a matter of sequential process and pressing on until done.
And so it goes.
